Regular pool and spa operations will resume in the early part of 2026, as we begin preparing for the new season with pool openings, maintenance, service, and scheduling.

Note: Customers currently enrolled in our Winter Maintenance Program will continue to receive scheduled service at least twice during the off-season.

Customer Responsibilities Prior to Closing:

At Lilly Pools, we want to make sure your Pool Closing runs smoothly, so it’s protected all winter and ready for next season. Here’s what to expect on Closing Day and how you can prepare. We look forward to helping you prepare your pool for the winter.

What We Need from You on Closing Day:

✅ Access to Electrical Panels – Our techs may need to turn equipment on or off.
✅ Access to Automation Controls – If your pool has automated systems, we may need access to adjust settings.

Before Our Arrival, Please Ensure the Following:

✅ Pool cover is left accessible at the deck area.
✅ Pool is free of excessive leaves and debris.
✅ Covers, plugs, and all necessary closing equipment are left out in plain sight.
✅ Gates and entryways are accessible, and pets are secured.

⏳ Important Note: if we cannot access any of the above items, a return visit may be required at an additional charge of $130.00.

Pool Closing Services Include:

✅ Water Levels Lowered – We will be lower the water to 2”- 3” below the skimmer and/or tile line.

✅ Winterizing All Lines – We blow out and plug all plumbing lines to protect them from freezing.

✅ Draining Equipment – Pumps, heaters, and other equipment are properly drained.

✅ Pool Filters Rinsed at Closing – All filters will be rinsed off during pool closing to remove surface debris. For optimal performance, we highly recommend selecting our optional yearly filter maintenance, which includes deep cleaning and a full inspection performed at our facility.

 Diving Board and Handrail Removal – As part of your pool closing, diving boards and handrails will be removed and placed on the pool deck when possible, unless rusted or seized bolts prevent safe removal.

✅ Safety Cover Installation – If selected, your pool safety cover will be installed and secured.

✅ Winter Chemical Treatment – If selected, a seasonal chemical kit will be added to the pool. It includes algaecide, oxidizing shock, stain and scale preventer, and an enzyme floater to help protect water quality and surfaces throughout the winter

Optional Filter Maintenance includes:

✅ Remove filter at closing and transport to retail facility
✅ Perform inspection and deep cleaning (D.E. or cartridge filters)
✅ Return and reinstall filter after service completion

🔧 Additional Materials: You will be notified before any parts or repairs are made to your filter. This service is billable at the time of scheduling the closing.

📌 Note: Optional Filter Maintenance is not offered as a standalone service; it must be selected in combination with a Pool Closing – Winterization service.

Optional Winter Maintenance includes:

✅ Lowering the water level, if needed.
✅ Clearing debris and leaves from the pool cover.
🔧 Additional Materials: Items such as plugs, stakes, anchors, water bags, and antifreeze will be billed separately if required for your pool closing.

📌 Note: Optional Winter Maintenance is not offered as a standalone service; it must be selected in combination with a Pool Closing – Winterization service.

Pool Cover Installation is not offered as a standalone service; it must be selected in combination with a Pool Closing – Winterization service.

Payment Policy:

Lilly Pools requires payment in advance for all closings.

⚠ Disclaimer: Lilly Pools and Spa Service LLC is not responsible for return fittings, jets, fittings, etc. that may be affected during the winterization process. Homeowners assume responsibility for winter risks such as scaling, ice damage, and ongoing maintenance throughout the off-season.

Additional Notices:

Notification: We will notify you by email, phone, and/or text the week prior to your selected closing week (either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday) to confirm your pool closing day

Scheduling: We make every effort to facilitate your pool closing during your requested week. Weather conditions or other factors may cause delays, and pool closings may need to be rescheduled. If we are unable to accommodate your selected week, we’ll notify you with an alternate date.

Pool Closing Services:  Any services required to complete the pool closing that were not selected on the submitted closing form, will be completed at the discretion of our service team and invoiced separately.
